I would be happy to take over as moderator of your community.

I just started using Live Journal, and see that the site hasn’t been very active.

I work for GOJobs.com, a job board.

We have a lot of content, that we are going to start deploying into the community.

This would be a great fit for us.

We also have a lot of job postings on our site in the Triangle.

Here is a page:

Please feel free to leave some feedback here at LJ, or contact me through our web page.

Low stress white-collar jobs with good mental health insurance coverage?
Hi guys. This is my first post here. I have really bad ptsd, anxiety and depression. I am lucky enough to get some of the treatment I need for it. I need to get a job soon though so I can use the health insurance to keep seeing my therapist and earn a  steady income to pay for other treatments.

Does anyone know which organizations/companies/government offices in the Triangle area have good mental health coverage as part of their benefits package? Does anyone here know if the state govt/UNC/NCSU have good mental health coverage?

Do you know what kind of organizations might be a good fit for me? Do you think looking for employment with the state government would be a good idea since the jobs there are usually not as challenging and stressful as jobs with the private sector?

If so, can anyone share with me a good way to break into state govt/university jobs? I've applied to many jobs with UNC but they take a long time to respond, as much as many months, and the answer has consistently been 'no'. Is it easier to get a job with the state govt?

Thanks very much.

Hi Everyone!
This is somewhat cross-posted.

I have a couple of questions. My partner and our pets are considering moving to the triangle area. We are not sure yet exactly what town. We are also moving from Indianapolis so it will make being close to see things a bit hard all the time *we are planning a couple of trips*. So here goes the questions....and thanks ahead of time.

1. Where in the area seems to be the best rent? We have a cat and a dog..so that plays into things greatly.
2. My husband is vegan...we want to be near somewhere that makes that easier.
3. I'm a nanny....does anyone know if there any good agencies?
4. If you would suggest a town to someone who has never lived in North Carolina where would it be?

Thanks ahead of time.

new moderator needed!
I need to resign as "moderator" for trianglejobs. This isn't exactly a high-traffic community, but I do see that there have been posts here and there. Is anyone interested in taking over? (I put moderator in quotes because this community really does not need moderation; it just needs someone's journal attached to it.)

P.S. beekerzwhirled, I want to publicly apologize for accidentally removing you -- I clicked the wrong check box.

I don't have bartending experience yet but have experience in food service, and am quick and eager to learn! Any tips would be great.

it would appear that IBM is hiring like mad. go to hotjobs.com and narrow your search to the Triangle, or even Raleigh-Durham specifically.

This is a long shot, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Does anyone know of a job opening with normal hours (8 or 9 to 5 or 6 ish) somewhere near North Raleigh or downtown (within 10 minutes or so)? I am so limited as to where I can apply because I'm going to have to ride to work with my husband for a few months until I can buy a car. I'm looking for any jobs I'm qualified for but would like to avoid sales and food service if at all possible.

Does anyone know of companies in the area that are looking for close to entry-level mechanical engineers? Any help is appreciated!

Stayin' Home and Hatin' It?
I do NOT want anyone who reads this to falls for any scams. Please read the following pages before considering falling for such a scheme.

(A person who fell for a Melaleuca MLM scam, and their ensuing court case against the company)

(A website that lists many rip offs and scams, and a person who can describe exactly what happened when she joined the "program")

A search on ripoffreport.com for "melaleuca" returns MANY results... read for yourself.

and a quote on this page sums it all up beautifully:

"For every dollar you make on MLM 10 is stolen from an innocent person. MLM is far to easy to abuse. If you want to make money go out and get a damn job."
